After a long while, I'm back to submitting my works (how proud does that sound ;) ) to dA. I've joined Wicked-LandScapes ([link]), a club devoted to Terragen. Oh yeah, I'm using TG now --

I'm not insane, that's how it seems though. Spiteful, cruel, but wise beyond his age. My body falls. I'm so alone.

Nice to see you're still putting out a bunch of nice visual ideas in your scenery, and look like you're adjusting to your new program version fairly well, when comparing the last 3 pictures to each other. (Jan 4-8 2008)

Some of the truly most jaw-dropping terragen stuff I've seen combines extremely high-resolution terrain, great lightning effects, and psuedo-digital fantasy art scenes into a full-scale, large-file-size "scene". Most of your stuff has good ideas and good technique, but seems very ';packaged' for distribution over the internet.

I'm kinda curious what you could come up with in a really large project like that. Plus I'd like to see how you'd "theme" something like that since your fantasy-genre 'influences' are a bit different from most artists who do that type of stuff (whose influences can mostly be condensed into the Magic: the Gathering art gallery to describe them).

Um... no pressure there? =P

Pay me no mind if you don't want to. o_O

I'm actually working secretly on something big (don't tell anyone ;) ). It's more or less influenced by Unreal and will have actually textured terrain. It's just progressing extremely slowly...

I really appreciate your input, man :)
:iconhowlingdragoon:
I try to give thorough input because it looks like most of the people who give you actual analysis are on your Terragen-type forums, whereas on dA you've mostly been getting "looks great/I hate it" type comments.

My eye for design and the analysis of it isn't world-class, but it's a LOT better than my hands are at making it, and I take visual design pretty seriously. Your landscapes are both design and painting-type 'art' at once, so more input is better if you're gonna get any critique you can -use-.

Also, Unreal? Does Terragen have features built-in for "pwning shotgun hors"? Or do you have to have a plug-in for that?

=P
